If your window frame depth is less than 2.5inch please select outside mount. For outside mount, you need select the SHADE WIDTH and HEIGHT to place order.This is your order size, you will get the exact size you order.Outside mounted shades should be ordered with the exact width of the area you wish to cover. Outside mounts are often used when there is not sufficient frame depth for inside mounting.Our shades come with all mounting hardware, and mounting hardware for both inside mount and outside mountINSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1.Measure the inside frame width at three locations-the top,middle,and bottom. Record the smallest of the 3 measurements and use that number as your inside width when ordering.Step 2. Measure the height at 3 locations-the left,middle,and right side. Record the longest of the 3 measurements and use the number as your inside height when ordering.OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1. Measure the outside frame width adding 3-6inch to be the outside mount width.Step 2. Measure the outside frame length adding 5-10inch to be the outside mount length. IMPORTANT-shade width is for total width including hardware, fabric is 1.2inch less than shade, you will have a tiny gap on each side but it usually can be covered by window frame,if your frame is too thin to cover the gap, pleasse change to outside mount.
OUTSIDE MOUNT: Outside mounts are traditionally mounted above the window frame, provide us with the exact size you want and we will take no deduction. The window blinds width and length should be 3" to 10" wider than window frame for better coverage. For example, if your window frame is 40" W by 60" H, the shade should be at least 43"W x 70" H. This is your order size, you will get the exact size you order. If install on the frame, shade size could be same or slightly smaller than window size.
